Surrender for Hope

Most of us have been here already, and the topic seems almost 'elementary' in a sense. Yet we are not forget that we serve a God who reveals Himself to us on different levels at different times...if we truly let Him... :)

Surrendering stuff to You, and really placing EVERYTHING regarding a particular matter at Your feet and on Your altar, implies that we’re really willing to let it ‘die’ in a sense, trusting You to do with it what YOUR will for the matter is, that You will resurrect it the way that YOU want it to be, WHEN You want it to resurrect, for YOUR purpose and plan. And at times it might seem like You’re returning that matter to us. But it may still not be quite the right time for something to take shape, it may merely be You giving us hope to keep on trusting You for the matter completely...perhaps also to say that we DID hear You correctly, but to keep on trusting YOU for it...

And here’s where the whammy comes for me: the sense that I have in my heart this morning is that, at this point, “Surrender” reaches a new level...it takes on a deeper meaning and yes, to us it might seem like a more painful one too...

At this point “Surrender” means giving that which we thought You were giving back to us at any particular point in time, BACK to You again...for YOU to bring it to fulfillment... And THAT is kinda hard... Coz the desire for that thing which we believe You to have spoken / promised is rekindled almost, and also becomes stronger even...it then almost feels like it’s right there for us for the taking, but something on the inside says, “not yet, not now...”

But important to note is that we don’t give away or give back the HOPE that was intended with it as well...! And also important to note here is that, even in that, our hope should never be in the matter or the thing that we surrender back to You, but that the hope that You give thru it all, should be anchored in YOU and YOU alone. Coz it is by YOUR grace and power that we are and have..."

Listen to God.
Believe what He is saying.
Surrender it to Him.
Trust that He knows best.
Hope in Him.
